Re: posting a pic.
Here is a link explaining how to post/resize pics on TF. You cannot upload from your computer into posts. You must use a host site, like tinypic, or photobucket.

Re: posting a pic.
Further down in that thread is the resizing info by Lovebirdfan...
Size matters: If you need to resize your image because it would be too large when you post it, one option is to use Paint on your computer and open the picture you want to post. Then go to Image. Select "Stretch and Skew" and reduce the size equally, for example 50% horizontal and 50% vertical. When you have the size you want to display, select "Save". The Photo should not be larger than approximately 6 inches in length and height because if the pictures are too large, it will take too long to upload for those who do not have a high-speed connection and we want everyone to be able to enjoy your photos. You now have a resized picture that is ready to be hosted and posted.

Re: posting a pic.
kanarygirl, if you are using photobucket, you can resize easily there. above each picture in your album, you will see edit | move | tag | share | delete , click edit and there are lots of neat things you can do with your photos, including resize.

Oh, those are beautiful birds!
Also, with photobucket you can set the resize before you even upload and then all uploaded pics will be set to that size. It's a great feature.
