Help! I screwed up my hair! How to fix?

I got my hair cut last night and it's terrible! Please, don't humor me and say "Oh it looks fine!" I look like Willy Wonka First pic is from last week....next one is today

How can I fix this? I am going in next Thursday for a cut and color. I need ideas on how to style it so it looks better. It's already pretty short so I can't take a whole lot of length off. Also, I can do whatever I want to it since it's a friend and she won't charge me. Like, anything. I wanna do something significant, but not horrendous.

So what should I do? Platinum blonde? Black and pink highlights? Red? Green, blue? Anything! Keep in mine I'm very pale (as you can tell by the pics, ugh) Ideas! Please.

*Whines* But it does look fine. At least you don't wake up every morning with hair that resembles a startled cockatiel!

    I think you look beautiful.

Exactly what is so wrong with the hair cut? The layering? Then just fix that.

Mom to Ducky! (female cinnamon GCC)...THANK YOU Keet for the gorgeous sig!!

I'm not sure what I think is wrong with it. It looks....like Willy Wonka! I have no idea how to fix it. Also - no idea which color to dye it lol.

Mine was cute waaaaaay shorter. I was hoping as it got longer it would behave but it just looked more and more like a Cockatiel crest.

I don't think it's a big fix, just a little touch up styling. I don't think it needs anything drastic. Maybe dye it a darker color?

You crack me up. Willy Wonka. Just rock the haircut! Seriously though, I see what you mean. I don't think it looks terrible but longer hair suits you better. Just remember that hair grows back, so at least you're not stuck with it! I think you should get some low lights and high lights, with some warm colors like dark red/brown/caramel shades. I don't know what else you could do but cut it shorter... but I don't know how short you would go with it. Maybe some coloring will fix it!

Hillari - I know you don't want to hear it but I like it. I would not go platium blonde - to drastic. I would put some highlights in.

Depending on your age and style it is hard for me to say what color. Personally if it was me I would add subtle highlights like this.

If your into a younger hip style something like this

But I have to be honest even though you don't want to hear it, I like it just the way it is. I don't BS so I would not say it if I did not think so.

Thanks for the honesty. Maybe I just need to learn to style it. I wonder if it would look good curled....

I was thinking dark auburn with golden highlights and bright red highlights (like the pic above)...what do you think?

How short are you willing to go? A cute flirty bob would work, with having a long face and all. How about going a lighter shade of red? or adding blonde highlights?

    Gotta do an IMG link.

God, that short terrifies me! I dunno if I could pull it off....but I want something "new"

Hmmm now that I look at the pics I think it's the bangs that make it look funky!

If you liked it long what about getting hair extensions?

I think that would look really nice and leave the length and layers.

EDIT: Just wanted to say that the shorter Bob style is cute but I understand your fear, having had long hair all my life that would freak me out. I am not that brave even though it is a really cute style.

Its not that bad. Your bangs are a little short but they grow back fast. I'd do some more layers around your face to break up the short bangs a little.

I think it looks good IMHO, but I know what it's like to have a hair-cut you don't personally like yourself. I think your new hair-cut is good, but if you are worried about it all I would do is softly taper the bottom layer a bit and flick it in, not out.

I really like the subtle highlights that Sue posted too

Perhaps I should send you photos of my bad hair-cuts, that would surely make you feel better
