Re: Summer & Ollie
You should definitely switch to harrisons - pretty bird is really not a good food. Good to have you back!

Re: Summer & Ollie
I never liked the colored food. My cockatiel was on Kaytee foods for years and his poop was always rainbow colored and messy as heck. I know it sounds gross, but he has way cleaner poo on Harrison's!
I did get my cockatiel off Kaytee pellets pretty easily, though I gave him several brands to try (Roudybush, Lafeber's, TOP, Harrison's) and he choose Harrison's.
Good luck with the conversion. It's not always easy.

Re: Summer & Ollie
Harrison's is definitely one of the best brands you could be feeding. Not only are dyed foods just not the best, Pretty Bird is actually a really awful food, dye ignored.

Re: Summer & Ollie
Why is it really awful?
Well I have like A LOT of Pretty Bird left...and I am going to get some harrison type food...and obviously I still need to give them their old food so they can be converted...
Harrison is suitable for canaries too I think so I'll convert them too.
It says this vet sells it, so i'm going to ask as I hate buying online.
Well slowly...canaries like different food, but the budgies are difficult.

Re: Summer & Ollie
It's just really low quality, and the addition of the dye makes it worse.

Re: Summer & Ollie
Yeah...well I don't like eating colourings myself so don't like my birdies having it.
Plus I prefer organic.
I think tho Pretty Bird isn't that bad, it isn't the best but it isn't the worst either. lol
