Here is a recipe Sunbirdx(Rachel) posted before.

    1 cup cornmeal
    1 egg
    1 tablespoon baking powder
3 jars assorted baby food (I used all fruits in this case, but for Boomy an Sparks, you could easily do veggies if they can't have the sugary fruit)
1/2 cup finely diced/food processed diced bell peppers
1 cup finely chopped/food processed chard (or whatever other greens)
    1/2 cup pellets

This filled about 1/2 of your regular loaf pan, took about 45 minutes to bake at 350, and is very dense and moist. I cut it into 1 inch cubes, it made about 40

You can also make birdy presents for her. Wrap up yummy good treats inside some natural raffia or even unbleached coffee filters tied up with colored hemp (I dip it in food coloring here to color it) in hopes they will rip open the presents you made for them. I used to put dried papaya in boomers gifts because he could smell it and he loved it so he would tear open the paper getting to his papaya. We did leave one sort of open for him the first time so he knew that something good was inside for him and thats all it took for him to know surprises were wrapped up in the paper. We also used to wrap up his foot toys in paper too just to give him something to rip up and get to, he liked pony beads wrapped up too. Sadly he will eat the paper now so no more wrapped gifts for boomer so now he gets his gifts un-wrapped or hidden instead.

I hope Markie has a great Birthday party with lots of yummy things to eat and good presents.
Fly Free Boomer, we will forever love you.

How about make your own "nutri-berry" type treats?

1 C dried fruit of your choice
    2 TB coconut
1/2 c old fashioned oatmeal, uncooked
1/4 c seed mix of any kind
    1/4 c pellets, your choice
    2 TB honey or molasses

Put first 3 items in a blender/food processor and blend. Add the rest of the ingredients--it will be sticky! On a greased or parchment paper lined cookie sheet, roll balls of various sizes and put 1" apart. Bake at 325 degrees for 15-20 min. Check at 15 min to make sure they are not brown, but set. Cool and store in a tightly covered jar.

a birdy pizza might work. ive been thinking about it for a while, and its still in development, so add on to it and see what your birdy likes.
    :

torilla flat bread. ( a small one is more than enough for a bunch of birds, so have friends)

either tomato slice or pizza sauce, make sure they are safe, not sure, as i hate tomatos and im not gonna give em to my birds.

seeds, shelled sunflower work best for aesthetics, maybe some pellets, or whatever, for other toppings.

    good luck and happy hatchday
