Question What kind of plants should i use?

Since i now have a bird room, i am trying to actually make it look more like a bird room. I have a heater in there and i am going to be putting a humidifier in there soon, and an air purifier also. I need plants though. I want tough plants that are non toxic (obviously) and not too easily destroyed, maybe some indoor tree like plants or larger plants. I'm not really good with plants, so it has to be easy to take care of I don't know any types of plants and i have no idea what to look for, so i'm going to need some help
Oh, i live in a farm-type area so there are lots of nurseries around me, so that's not a problem. I'm not sure how many i'm going to get, so throw as many suggestions you have at me

Some plants i am looking at are:
    CORN PLANT
    PARLOR PALM PLANT
    NORFOLK ISLAND PINE
    UMBRELLA TREE (Schefflera actinophylla)

Anyone know anything about them and if they would be OK for me? I think they are all non-toxic.

If I remember properly, the Umbrella tree is not ok for birds...think I read it somewhere.

what about an aloe plant, they are tough, bird safe, and you dont have to water them everyday.

I've looked at a couple of websites and it's all mixed, some say it's safe, some say toxic, so i'm just going to stay away from it.

Yeah never thought of that, Aloe will definitely be on my list.

Here is site with a nice list:

My birds go nuts for our African violet plants. They are not big, but they are hardy and easy to grow and apparently they taste great!
