    Favorite sleeping spot?

Chrissy's cage is 24"wide x 24" deep x 35" high with several different perches - different widths and textures and at different heights...which she hangs out and plays or sleeps on all of them at different times of the day. She used to sleep in the back corner of the cage on the highest perch.
We recently purchased a small bell toy that is on the side of her cage, toward the back, and about is lower than 2 other perches. It has this tiny- about 1/2-in by 3/4-in acrylic flat top that the bell hangs off of.
Chrissy has begun sleeping huddled up on this little platform. It is so small, we worry about her slipping off during the night.
When we super-cleaned the cage this week, we rearranged everything and re-located the bell toy on the other side of the cage, and she is STILL choosing to sleep on top of the bell toy ! During the day we rarely see her on top of the bell, but she plays with the clapper and rings the bell.
Is this just her being quirky or should we be concerned?

She just likes it... I have a pedi-perch my tiel loves and she sleeps on it during the day. (it is on the outside of her cage). But at night I put her in her cage and cover her. In the morning, first thing after uncovering her, and getting kisses, she heads straight for her pedi-perch. They just like the way certain things feel on their feet.

    Imagine yourself through their eyes.

I wouldn't be concerned. She just like it thats all. My tiel and budgie both have a favorite perch that no matter where you put it they sleep on it together. It could be the lowest thing in the cage and they still sleep on it.

I agree with the others. They can sleep in the weirdest of uncomfortable looking places. Mine generally chooses swing, a pink perch or a small feed dish that I feel she chooses as she hates the pellets that are in it and she can poop in it, lmao.

    Re: Favorite sleeping spot?

Okeefe has to sleep next to a certian shread toy. and Jack likes to sleep on my extra pillow next to my head, in the bed with me. During the day Okeefe likes to nap next to her weather vain on her house or near her stuffed mike. jack naps on the back of my chair or on the TV

I would not worry to much about it. as long as it is not hurting her let her sleep on her bell.

Cheeky Bird will sleep on her minral block/cuttle bone with her chest squished up against the bars of the cage... it looks so funny!
