Wiffle Ball as a Foraging Toy!

Hey guys! The other day, I picked up a few packs of wiffle balls at the dollar store... My mom was like, "What, are you gunna hide things in there for the birds or something?"
LOL, GO MOM! That wasn't exactly what I had in mind when I got them, but, it's an excellent idea!

Now I have a wiffle ball laying on top of Mika's (my sennie, who I can hardly get to play with toys) cage (it is tied to a string that passes over her cage... this way she can roll it around and all sorts of fun stuff, but not lose it off the cage top!).

I stuffed it with bits of avicakes, zupreme fruity pellets, carrot strips, dried chili peppers, dried papaya, and whatever else I had laying around...

She's been having an absolute blast!

I'm so happy she's doing SOMETHING! (ooh, I also got her a shih kabob toy... I stick peices of those mcdonalds drink holder thingies on it for her to shred! she loves it!)

I'm so glad I'm actually getting to to play... to do SOMETHING. Poor, old couch potato.

I tried that with Diego but it didn't work. The poor guy just isn't smart enough to realize there's goodies stuffed in anything.

Lol, did you try stuffing it while he was watching? Thats what I did with my sennie... she went right too it looking for goodies!

Is Diego a tiel? He might not catch on then... 'tiels, imo, aren't too intelligent, most of the time (and I speak for my 'tiel Katana, too, LOL)

I also think tiels are on the lower end of the intelligence scale haha. Oscar is just like one of those big jocks that have no common sense or any level of intelligence at all haha. He is a bi brute that just like to destroy things haha. Nikko, my keet, is much more intelligent, however, he is quite the perch potato.

Cat balls work great too my tiels love when I fill their cat balls with pieces of millet then I hang it some where , that they actually have to work to get it.

I actually use the wiffle balls as a foraging toy for my dog I put pieces of her food and or treats in it, She loves it and has a ball with it for hours on end (NO pun intended lol)

LOL Yes I tried with him watching and yes he is a tiel, which I'm pretty sure explains it all. My poor, dumb little boy. (He can't even carry a tune, but don't tell him I said that!)

Definitely true. Very cute and social, but they're about as sharp as a marble. At least Louie can talk (his vocabulary is 2 words).

i did the same thing with barrels for Sparks. it's all of 30 seconds to squidge the bell out with needle nose pliers.

anyway... where are the pics for those of us who think a wiffle ball is obviously something different to what you have got!

Thanks Lee for the adorable sig!
