Yes, definitely a red-lored amazon ... she doesn't look too bad, actually, just in need of some shower time. And everyone else is right - Red-loreds have a reputation for being a little calmer, more predictable, like lilac-crowneds ... easier to handle in general. And I agree too that her (his?) beak looks fine to me, no need to trim. Claws, maybe, if they're hurting you when she's on you. A little TLC and she'll make a fantastic companion If you're looking for books on parrots, I recently became a fan of Barbara Heidenreich after doing some research. I like her methods

    hi!

As far as your concern with plucking, I don't think she is, but it appears that she may be shearing her feathers around her neck, either that or they are just in bad shape because of a poor diet... ( a vet will be able to tell you more )
And yes, she needs a good bath too. a least once a week or more if possible. Her beak looks good too...

Be sure to find some good amazon books, and get her a vet check.
Good luck! Amazons are wonderful birds, and such great actors, lol

it doesnt really look like the beak needs any trimming. a good concrete perch near the water dish will help shape it a bit. but i wouldnt be concerned with it
