    Care package for Bebe...

okay for those who have read our franks vent, you should know about the Quaker that we wanna adopt.
well i sent emails to some companies, and since its Easter weekend, we prolly wont get any for a while. So me and alexis are putting together something to hold her over till we get the samples.

    right now on the list:
    Roudybush pellets,
both teil and kkeet sized nutriberries,
    an avi cake,
some quiko egg recipe or whatever its call. lots of protien, and junk for molting, so it might help.
    some goldenfeast petite hookbill
    and GF gardenflora powder supplement.

thats all we can think of now...
any other suggestions? i wanna make a mix of pastas and junk, but alexis said just tell her what to get...

Yeah. I tell them I have a Quaker and they only gimme tiel :[ But these are free samples we got from, not what we bought. So its just what we have on hand for them time being.

Hopefully we can get some more stuff for her. Since Lisa is actually listening and looking out for the well-being of Bebe.

Oh yeah. I'm starting to say I have a Macaw. Esp for Golden feast because he likes big chunks of food, and things he can hold with ease not, little things like Roxxi.

dont get the petite for a quaker its too small, try the regular hookbill. my conure and meyers get it and its the perfect size..

oh yah, I dont buy into the egg supps, just boil eggs and give it too them w/shell (mash it together) or better yet: Have you ever tried Avian Missing Link? Probably the best supplement you can get and it helps with molting, my vet told me to use it for 1 week out of every month. for a quaker you'd mix about 1/4 to 1/2 tsp in with his food everyday..

we didnt really have a choice in what we give. we have to go off what we have at home. and since we have like none of that, and we cant get a ride to a store, we cant get it.

and whats teh missing link stuff like? ive seen it in stores and its bothered me cause i cant tell what its like. it feels like a mushy mess

    Re: Care package for Bebe...

I feed mine the petite and he likes it. And he eat crumble sized pellets and prefers them over the mini/ small. I guess its just beak preference. But its just a free sample. I have nothing to lose. If she doesn't like it, she doesn't like it.

But they won't send me anything bigger than for like bugs and junk. But I do tell them I have a bird with a big beak, but they don't listen...
