    need body language help

Sammy is as adorable as ever, but I'm finding his body language harder to read than i did Sparks. He keeps doing 2 things in particular that i cant click what he wants

1- he bobs his head up and down really fast making a little clicky bubble noises. Seems to be when he is especially excited and he makes this noise to his favourite toy a lot.

2- this one really confuses me. He'll bob his head up and down a couple of times then lower his head. in most birds this means 'scritch me' but when i try he runs off lol. He's always fluffed up when he does this.

    any input much appreciated x

Thanks Lee for the adorable sig!

sounds like he is begging for food in the first scenario.

Pepper does exactly the same thing as situation 2, she acts as though she wants a scritch but she end up just chomping me!
Other times, she wants a scritch so much that she ends cup chomping me out of frustration.
Our silly fids, I'm not quite sure what he's doing in situation one, it does sound like he might be begging for food, but he might also just be really excited.
Charlie used to do something similar to his favourite toys, it was really sweet

i've seen bugs do it when they are playing
so if he's begging does this mean he thinks his toy is another bird?

Thanks Lee for the adorable sig!

It sounds more like he is just playing, too. I'm not sure he would be going up to toys and begging, but then, he might be? Would be pretty strange if he was.

Baboo does the 1st one, and always when she's rough-housing with the b/f. He's her beat-up-buddie! She won't do it when she plays with Mommy, but with him that's when she makes all her noises...her "pretty bird", "baboo", and just today she started doing a "hehehehe" laugh, and she's mimcking the mototrcylces with a cute lil engine reving up sound! BTW we live above a harley shop..

Well... boomer would do the clicky noise along with the head bobbing thing when he would get really excited. It started like that but soon it turned into a dance and then...gasp!... he started to do his rub rubbing between the clicking, bobbing and dancing. But isnt sammy really young still? I know boomer did the dance early on but not that early.

I think Sammy is a happy boy Helen
