Aww, she looks so tiny all alone in that big cage. You'll need to get her a friend. :P

I really want her to bond with me, though. Wouldn't getting her a friend ruin that?

    Re: Geordi Pictures!!!

I think budgies are better in pairs, but I agree getting a second right now wouldn't be good, bonding with just geordi is the most important thing right now, if in a couple months you feel pretty confident about that then getting a second one would be fine. With my birds I have not seen any bondbreaking when they get a partner, though I made sure I was strongly bonded with my birds before doing so.

Okay, anyone certain on her mutation? I've been looking at the budgie site for a while now and haven't gotten any closer to figuring it out yet.

I've come to the conclusion that if you want a truly tame bird that loves to be with you, you need to keep it on it's own. The finches that I've loved and hand fed are a prime example. They will sit with me for a while, but it's obvious that they prefer to just be together.

I disagree with that. My budgies would rather be together, but I'm afraid I've never created a "true" bond with my budgies, other than Bubbles, so they've mostly been together. However, we got our 'tiels at the same time, and they love to be with us, and choose me and my bf over each other - even though they've spent their how lives together and share a cage.

Are her wings grey? I can't really tell, lol. Greywing though can dilute the body colour.

I don't know if I'll get another or not. I guess I'll just wait it out and see what happens at this point.

Aww she is adorable! I am totally in love with her!! Seriously, she is the cutest little thing ever! And i love your sig .

I think it's much better to have one budgie. Even though it still is possible to tame two, they still prefer each other over you (most of the time). It's like that with any bird i think.

Maybe you should get a tiel though (or another small bird), for company when she is out playing. There is a guy in my area that is rehoming an albino 'tiel. I would get it myself, but i really don't need any more birds .
Eh, i just realized your a bit far from me, although not too far. But i'm sure it would be a long drive.

I'm checking the mutation now. Just give me a minute and I will have what I THINK it is lol. I'm still kinda learning a little. She is so cute. and as for the two budgie thing. I dnt think that would be a very good idea until you are completely bonded with her. Nikko immediately loss interest in me when I brought home oscar(tiel.).
