    Chins or Deer

I was thinking of buying a dwarf chinchilla to have as a close friend. I also wanted to buy a Leaf Muntjac Deer. I was wondering, which one would be more cuddly? Both are very beautiful and sweet. Anybody even know where I can get a Muntjac Deer? I know they are as cuddly as dogs. Could anyone answer these questions?

I have never heard of Muntjac deer, or 'dwarf' chinchillas. I have a regular chin and love her to bits, she snuggly and playful, the only thing I dont like is the constant poops, but they are dry.

Well, you couldn't get any more different in species if you tried!
I'm pretty sure it's not going to be easy to find a Muntjac Deer, are they even legal where you live to keep?
Chins are really adorable, easy to socialise and when they get to know you they crave attention. Like all rodents, they don't really like living alone and are happier with a companion. They do require lots of space, don't be fooled that they can be kept in small confines, they need the space to jump, play and be active, with lots of out of cage time to really enrich them.
They need a constant supply of wood to chew, their teeth grow much quicker than many other rodents and they will quickly become depressed if they are left to overgrow, nevermind that they will be in much pain and distress, possibly unable to eat etc..
Either way, you have lots to think about. Neither pet is a light choice to make, I'm pretty sure a deer would be a very specialist animal with very specific needs.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure Leaf Muntjacs aren't illegal in my state, which is new jersey. Its good to know there constant poop is dry, I would hate constant poop that insn't.

Mmost owners of deer agree they are special. They need a lot of space and so do chins! I have that space available, I hope. Deer are very nice, or at least the females. They rarely bite, and love to give you kisses, like nice dogs. There sweet and unique.
