    books

what is a good book/books to read on conures that will give me some information? i don't want to look online. I'm online too much as it is and would rather have a book where i don't have to sit on the computer to read a lot at a time.

    Re: books

Best bet would still be online.

"MOST" books out are either out dated or just full of false information.

What's the difference in reading online or a book? not that hard. save yourself the hassle and look online.

    Re: books

Just search amazon for books and get one.

Not sure how many still use books for information, being the digital age and all, but I can see why you want one.

Can't suggest one, but I suggest you check amazon or alike

    Re: books

omg you guys suck. the man asked for a book not a lecture!! i prefer books too!!!!

the ones i have are done by avian vets, breeders and are recognised within australia as nothing short of the best but i dont think they will have those where you are but its worth a look if you can order or find them. "a guide to" series from ABK books...

Nathaniel, you know we're just giving you a hard time right?

The way I figure is that you posted on here, and sat on the net to do that and respond to us, but you could've used that 5 - 10 minutes to quickly google CONURE CARE

    Re: books

I definetly get what hes saying. I would rathe have a book to read so I could close it when I want and take it with me rather than stare the screen fo hous trying to read and retain everything at once. haha. I can't suggest any but Idk lol.

Oh I love that book, near and dear to my heart.

    Nathaniel, I would look for a general parrot care book. Because when it comes to important things (like toys, space, cage, food, behavior), a general care book will work for all birds. I like anything by Mattie Sue Athan or Sally Blanchard. I think it's great you want to get a book! This is one of my faves;

Also, Parrots for Dummies or Birds for Dummies is a great one

I don't have internet at home, and I work at a computer all day so why would I wanna stare at a screen even more? Plus I love to curl up in bed or the bath with a book.

    Re: books

All the books I trust and use are just general parrot care, I honestly wouldn't bother looking into species specific books as most of them are so outdated that they just give poor advice.
