they were only a couple weeks old i think...maybe like 2 weeks but i dunno...there was three babys and then they totally disapeared...and i know that the parents have raised babies before. and there are more nest boxes in the avairy then needed for the amount of birds in there and its a really big flight cage...big enough for maybe a few medium parrots with lots of room to spare, and there only lovebirds inthere with them aswell...we are all stumpped on what could have happened...i was planning on keepin one my self

Re: babys disapears??
Wouldn't there be blood if other birds ate them? Is there a way the might of goten out and a cat got them?

Re: babys disapears??
If there are other lovebirds in the same aviary, it's not uncommon for other pairs to invade nests and kill chicks. This is one of the reasons that I breed one pair/cage. If the chicks were just killed, the parents may have buried them under the nesting material in the box. As in the wild, the birds take care of their own problems when it comes to this.

Re: babys disapears??
the weird thing is that there was no sign of them....no blood no nothing..maybe the parents did hide whatever was left under nexting material...and a cat couldnt have gotten in there....sometimes i have a hard time gettting in there lol
