Hi - My name is Shannon and I am new to this forum. Just wanted to introduce myself - I breed and keep Blue Capped Cordon Bleu Finches.

Is there anyone else here who has Cordons? Other African Waxbills? I look forward to meeting you all and thanks for reading my post - LOL!

I keep and breed finches in my aviary, at the moment in my aviary I have:
2 Blue crowned hanging parrots
2 red cheek cordon bleus
2 diamond doves
11 button quail
2 bobwhite quail
1 male canary
7 zebra finches
2 green singers
1 male paradise whydah
2 owl finches
2 black-chinned yuhinas
2 african silverbills

Of which only the zebras are breeding at the moment, although a few others are showing a lot of promise as they have nested and laid eggs.

Good to have another finch fanatic around

Hello, hello.... I am a new member just because of your announcing that you breed Cordon Bleus. I have Society Finches that have just had their first clutch (and they are all adorable) and a pair of Red Front Canaries that are about a year old. The Bleus are so very lovely; but I have not found any here in the Metro-Orlando area where I live. Am hoping to learn more from others about them and, hopefully, I'll find some in June at a Bird Expo here....
