haha...I wasn't meaning I was worried about Lauren. Just think it is better if we leave it to Dan. He already knows our addresses if we participated before. And maybe next year someone else would volunteer, and so on.

I'd love to do it again!! Of course cards will be lost in teh mail - that happens in "real life" christmas card sending, too. No one in real life gets all butt hurt about it do they?? No worries, man!! I love the santa exchange!! And I LOVED what I got last year!

ETA: and actually, the card I got is even more special now to me because the fid who sent it is at the Rainbow Bridge ... the card has her bite marks in it

Well basically, when we did it last year, everyone who wanted to participate sent Dan their mailing addresses.

We had a deadline to get our addresses to him and once that deadline was up, Dan messaged everyone with who their Secret Santa (SS) was.

We made a thread for everyone who was participating to list their birds and what toys their birds liked so their SS would know what to send

It was then up to that person what to send to their SS, could've been a card, a small toy etc..

I sent my SS a hanging toy for her fid and a home made card. And my SS sent me a variety of small balls and other toys for my lovie's cage.

My only problem last year was the person I sent my card to didn't post. I was only bummed cause I was really proud of the pop-up card that I made. Not a huge deal.

Mary, I knew her slightly to chat to on net but we do have actual meets about once a year and some of my friends have met up with her before. That was the witch poo thing I did meeting a mate from Melbourne and my sis.

Come to think of it I must not exactly appear normal.

Not Peter, but I've met a few people from the different budgie boards over the years. These people have come to the bird shows and marts that I've posted about. A few have even become interested in exhibiting budgies as well.
