    Fargo, ND area?

Alright, so things have been really crazy in my neck of the woods lately. My seasonal ob is ending and there is nothing left here in Bemidji as far as places to live and jobs, so my bf and I are moving to Fargo, ND. Apparently North Dakota has not really had a recession so we were able to secure jobs and we are currently waiting to here about our status with the apartment we applied to get.

Because we are moving to an apartment, I had to cut back on birds. I found a home for the Parrotlets (Simon and Doe) and the female Red Bellied Parrot (Oni) and my Umbrella Cockatoo (Sydney) went to a great lady who had 5 other Cockatoos to keep him company (though I get to see him when I visit). I will be keeping 4 pairs of Lovebirds, Dweezel and Zorro (Caiques) and my boyfriend confiscated a baby Lovebird for himself (appropriately named Daredevil Gillette Mach 8 with Precision Trimmer.....AKA Chibi). So that means I have birds to find homes for still.

The thing is, I am wondering if there is anyone in the Fargo/Moorhead area that is on here. Everyone here has always been very nice and I'm going to need a bird sitter for when we go out of town (I always had a reliable one here, but I don't know anyone in Fargo yet). I figured if no one here is in the area, I will send my feelers out to the local bird rescue, vets and pet stores in the area, but I wanted to try here first.

But, I do think that I should update you all with some pics of the "new recruit" Lovebird.

I figured I would end up contacting CAARE in Fargo. I will probably do some volunteering with them if they need it and I will be donating some of my supplies to them as well if they need it.

Just the Lovebirds and only limited clutches. Right now everyone is on down time so we are keeping it that way until we move and only allowing a pair at a time to raise babies so that it is less than 5 babies at a time. At this point, I don't think I would have the time or room for anything more than that.

    Re: Fargo, ND area?

Yeah, it's been sad and I hate the fact of finding homes for some of them, but they will be happier in the long run.

BTW, I didn't want to keep Daredevil in the first place, but he didn't sell and then my boyfriend bonded with him while I wasn't looking... One day he said to me, "That's my bird and we are not selling him anymore." So I told him he needed to name him and he said, "I already did! His name is Daredevil because of the way he flies when I take him out!" Turns out he has been taking him out and playing with him while I am gone and they already love each other....how can I separate them now??

So the goal is to end up with 3 cages of birds- Dweezel and Zorro, the 4 pairs of Lovebirds (Freya/Loki, Fletcher/Rowan, Isis/Osiris, and Yin/Seible), and Daredevil.
