    Re: Introducing....

I had to read some of your other threads to make sure I wasn't losing it...

I thought you had just got the new baby and are now getting another, but NOW I realized, you're referring to the same one *facepalm* eeesh I'm slow this morning.

Correct me if I'm wrong, your new tiel came the same place as your new lovie?

If not, I would highly (HIGHLY) recommend quarantine and a thorough vet inspection. Baby birds are more vulnerable (immune systems aren't built up etc...) to a variety of different sicknesses - PBFD - being a huge one.

After quarantine - and an all clear on the vet check - have both cages in the same room and have supervised out of cage time play-dates. Give them toys to play with, treats when they're getting along and be prepared for a bit of toe-biting or beak knocking.

Toe-biting and beaking is NOT necessarily a bad thing, it's simply how most parrots (if I'm not mistaken) show dominance and determine a pecking order.

You'll know when they can be out together without you having to worry...

    Re: Introducing....

yes they do come from exactly the same place and the same room indeed, have been together really since birth, and only seperated for the weeks iv had Koda, and also.........new baby wasnt really out much with Koda, just in the same room.........so do i need quarantine??

Koda is going to the vets today, just for a check up and an "MOT" as i were

new baby will do the same in the new year

and thanks for the advice.........so beak knocking and toe biting arent a bad thing necessarily?? thats good hehehe ill ahve to introduce Paulie into the mix then hopefully, will make for nice play date photos

    Re: Introducing....

I would still quarantine -just- to be on the safe side.

Since Paulie is older than the new bubs, I would wait before introducing him. See if the babies get along and then over time start to introduce Paulie.
