Unhappy Nym hates her own feathers *sigh*

normally Nym is a wonderful bird but today shes been nothing short of a rather large pain in the backside. shes nested in my pillows, bit me (which has NEVER happened), gone psycho at my SO trying to give her scratches and didnt even want to play with a moulted feather which is one of her favourite past times. right now she is caged and trying to attack Sere through her cage and his... *sigh*

this is took tonight, its her attacking my SO who is giving her a moulted feather. right after this was taken i put her to bed. this is her NOT stressed and NOT worked up. this is her in all her moulting ******iness.

Wow what and angry muffin!! Guess we all have our days...hopefully she'll come down from her anger cloud soon and be her normal self. I can't imagine she'd stay a little monster for long. Let the hormones subside. Good luck!

I feel your pain! I have 2 adult female cockatiels who are both very sweet girls, not right now though! They are egg laying, moulting Dragons! They go out of their way to bite me and my other half, as well as eachother and the boys. I miss my sweet little girls lol.

I totally understand, Sam. Pepper is being the same at the moment, it's totally wearing me out how vile she can be when she moults.
Pepper has a habit of screeching at things when she is moulting, I'm not sure my ears can take much more.
Am feeling your pain, Sam! Let's hope that Nym returns to herself soon!

I know how you feel. My baby attacks me when he is grumpy too!

Hopefully she will be back to herself soon.

Oscar has been quite the pain in the *** lately too. I think he is going through a hormonal stage or something because he bit me twice today and once yesterday. He seems to fine with Nikko though. And playing happily on the top of his cage. Maybe I just did something to **** him off. haha

Ugh, Brie has been like this the last couple of weeks. No fun at all. I believe it's coming to a close though.

What a little grump. I guess we all have bad days.

Boomer has been like that as well. When he gets that crabby I just leave him alone. He will throw tantrums like that and bite as well. Not often though.

Yeah, Cosmo is being a little hormonal biatch right now too.

I just got a pretty good chomp this morning, as I was getting her breakfast ready.

What is it with all these hormonal birds??? It's freaking winter. I know in Oz Land it's summer, but what about the rest of us? Aren't they supposed to be hormonal in the spring? Sigh.

Thank God my two have not acted like that yet, not even during their first moult. I do get an occassional nipping when they're in a bad mood but nothing as bad as your little one being a monster there. :P

I'm sorry Sam, but that video is beyond cute!!!

An old friend of mine has two 'tiels and the one will get so outrageously mad at her feathers, she looks just like Nym just absolutely freaking out at it.

Best feather reaction I've seen is with Skittles... she looked almost shocked her butt feather came out. So she played with it.. nibbling on it... then she just tried to tuck it back into her back feathers (like she was tucking paper)

Awww Nym- you so cute lol

at least you dont get upset stomachs and yeast problems too, like Sammy. And he's the opposite. He wants lots of love and affection and becomes a velcro bird. It's maddening. everytime i even step out of the room i get screaming. i get screaming in the cage, and out of the cage i;m not allowed to do anything by myself. and he still screams. he sits under my ear and flock calls. Why?

My personal opinion is he wants everyone to know how uncomfortable he is.

AND he shreds up all his tissues, kicks them about and throws them around. Only ever when he's moulting tho.

Be glad when this one is over. I'm exhausted lol

Thanks Lee for the adorable sig!
