A huge number of parakeets (82) were either confiscated or dumped on Saturday at:
East Valley Shelter, 14409 Vanowen (E. of Van Nuys Blvd.), Van Nuys
818-756-9323.

All varieties & colors - primarily blues and greens, like these. The shelter is ill-equipped to handle birds. The inside space is too small.....and the outside aviary TOO COLD for birds at this time of the year.

If you love birds, or care about them, PLEASE adopt. Fees are $11 each. Everyone else, PLEASE WAKE THE TOWN AND TELL THE PEOPLE BY BLASTING AND POSTING THESE SWEETIES.
