Thought you guys would understand this!
While at work (my part time job at the local football club) we noticed a pigeon kept coming in and out of the football stand (through the walkway and up to the high girders). Thought nothing of it until a week later when we spotted he was back but kept bringing twigs in!
Well yesterday he was back, kept coming in and having a look around. As soon as he flew out at one point I jumped onto the counter and had a look, and theres a nest! Looks empty at the moment, but the pigeon kept on coming back yesterday.
To be honest its probably a great place to nest, its warm and dry (under the heating pipe, lol) and is empty for the majority of the time (games are once a fortnight, rest of the time there is no one around).
Me and my colleague (who has also spotted him) has decided not to tell anyone as we reckon the 'health and safety' guys will see it as a pest and get rid of it. And we like our pigeon friend. lol
So anyone got any ideas on if we can leave food out for them? And what kind? We can easily get up onto the ledge nearish the nest (about 6 foot away) and put something up there so no one spots it.
But yay for the pigeon family. Oh and the best bit is its in the 'family' stand in the ground. Lol
