Need a new hiding spot...
I keep the millet spray on the dining room table - it is in easy reach and that is where all the bird food sits.
Well, today ... my tiel was playing on my desk and then decided to fly around the room. I was playing a game so keeping half an eye on the little trouble maker as he was flying...
After a minute I start to hear happy chirps, so I turn around and look and... he's landed on the table and opened the millet bag and is happy chirping, all proud of himself!
I guess now that he is flighted I have to find a new hiding spot. lol

Had that problem with Indie, followed by Peeps and Sonny. I ended up storing my millet in a large square container (the kind supermarkets put cake in) because anything in a plastic bag will be chewed through until satisfaction is achieved!

You might also be able to fool him if you put the millet on one of the chairs and cover it with a towel/napkin/dischcloth. If it isn't visible, it doesn't exist (unless you have a really conniving little tiel).

Oh yes, they will find everything and anything. You have to watch them like a hawk.

Hehe indeed, he found the spice cabinet with the cinnamon in it yesterday cause I forgot to close it after I cooked him an egg.
He's so cute when he finds something new though, he struts around making his "i'm happy" chirp for like 5 minutes
