    Lovebird Security

Another survey of the peanut gallery!

Does your lovebird have "an alligator mouth and a parakeet @-$-$"? I noticed when the landscapers are visible thru the windows and doorway, Ham is PEEP PEEP EEP ing like a watchdog, but she is a little chicken who runs to the corner of her cage. She's actually a little timid when my friends come around.
We got lots of Ham here

Well, my room faces the backyard and there really aren't any people out there, so he doesn't really act like a watchdog, although if he did I admit that would be really entertaining.

he's gotten more used to other people though, and generally doesn't run and hide unless anyone tires to touch him!

    i dont have that problem
Sammy is a disgusting flirt to almost everyone.
Straight on the shoulder, lots of clucking, fluffing and kissing. Dirty little bird lol

He does do the watchdog act on cats in the garden tho. He screams and tells them off til i get the kitty spray out lol

Thanks Lee for the adorable sig!

Nope...Tini is all up in everyone's business. She must fly to you if you are new in the house and TWEET right in your face. And if she think you are afraid of her, she will lure you in for a kiss or a scritch and then bite you. If she doesn't think you are afraid, she will merely make you her own and demand scritches and a snuggle space. She is not afraid of anything.

We have a big cherry tree just outside the window and Bernard goes crazy shouting at the birds gorging themselves on the fruit. If anyone is in the house or in view outside it's bedlam until they give her the attention she thinks she deserves. Out of the cage with visitors she's a complete slut with men much more standoffish with women!!

Twinkle is never shy around anyone. She gets very excited, makes all sorts of noises, bangs her toys around, and acts completely insane whenever she's around anyone besides my family.

I suspect that my lovebird is secretly a mad scientist.

Mushroom this is completely OT but what is the story of that insanely cute mammal next to Twinkle in your sig line?

Well my Ham is a chicken butt. She saw the landscapers working on the sprinklers and PEEEEEPed and then ran to the other side of the tv to hide from them, lol.
We got lots of Ham here

That Ham, she is just too funny. Boomer was a people hog and did anything and everything to get to people so he could climb and explore all over them. He did however freak out and do his beep...beep...beep call whenever a Stellar Jay landed anywhere outside he could see it. If they happened to cheep he would freak out and fly out of control to get away from the scary Jay outside.
Fly Free Boomer, we will forever love you.

Naw...Pintsize is a lovie whose bark is actually less threatening than his bite! He'll fly over to terrorize new folks. To be fair, he's never actually bitten bitten someone, but he has nipped a few times and knows how to threaten.
