    My Cobalt Blue Lobsters

I just got them 4 days ago so they are not that blue yet but they are eating and settling in nicely. I really love these guys. They eat EVERYTHING. I got them off KIJIJI for only $5 each, great deal. They are eventually going into a species only 75 gallon tank.

I saw your title (and not being fish/crustacean-wise) thought to myself "what on earth would you do with a lobster?" (thinking commercial edible kind lobster). THEN I saw your pix and went "awwww". Never thought I'd say a lobster looked cute but yours do. How big will they get?

Aw, c'mon you've got to admit that they are cute compared to the live commercial lobsters you see in tanks.

I dunno, I think the ones in the tanks are cute... I always feel soooo bad when I go to a grocery store that sells them, always want to take them home and rip those stupid rubber bands off!

Congratulations on the new lobsters, Courtney.

Me too, I hate seeing them all crammed in that water, poor things. Thanks! They are so cool to watch. Very interesting. I will update when they get more blue.

    Re: My Cobalt Blue Lobsters

As much as I like the taste of lobster, I've never had the heart to order a lobster meal where you get to pick the live lobster out of a tank - the thought of condemning my live dinner to death just doesn't cut it. Ever since I heard (I think it was my dad who told me) that they're boiled alive and scream I've never had any desire to purchase a live one.

Please don't tell your pet lobsters that it's mini-lobster season here in South Florida. I would not want to offend them!

I know, it's a cruel death. How would you like to be thrown in boiling water. It's sad especially since they scream.

    I won't, lol.

Very cool. Those pictures remind me of my visits to the shoreline when I lived in Connecticut.
