Good By Silly my Love

I know this is not a bird that has passed away so sorry but I feel the need to post.



I woke up this morning and my baby, Silly passed away. I have no clue why, he wasn’t sick or anything but he was very old. I will miss him with all my heart, he was the clown of the chins. A goof ball and Im going to miss him. This is so hard loosing him. My heart dropped when I saw him this morning. Im so upset right now. I loved him so much. My little goof ball will truly be missed. It’s hard picking up the lifeless body, I was shaking. Im am burring him in the alley were there are flowers so he will always be remembered in that spot. There are lots of flowers that will surround him. If I did it in the backyard the dogs would dig him up. But he was so cute and he loved to race around and jump off the walls in the chin room. I can’t believe Im posting this, it does not seem real to me. I just can’t believe this, Im in so much pain. Non-animal people don’t understand this but it’s like a blow to the stomach.

I'm so sorry for your loss , the love you have for all your critters, feathered, furry or scaly, always comes through in your posts. I know you'll be able to think of him surrounded by flowers.

Thanks, I really do love any type of animal. I love all of them with all my heart. I have even cried when one of my fish died.

I do understand - we used to have fish about ten years ago & I had what I called a sucker fish. Not pretty, dark coloured & he had a sucker mouth and would clean the algae off the inside of the aquarium (more or less). We were cleaning the aquarium and my husband thought he would help me out by filling the aquarium with cold water & he put the sucker fish straight in. He couldn't figure out why the poor thing was thrashing around & asked me. I was horrified that he'd put the poor thing into cold water because I knew it had to go into warm water. Unfortunately, it died from shock and I was upset & Fred just didn't get it.

Oh Sandra, I have fish and I understand. I've had sucker fish before, I know what your talking about, a pleco. Poor thing. I bet your husband diddn't understand how attacked you can really get to fish.

Thanks Roxy. I miss him so much, it's the second day without him and it's even harder from yesterday. Im crying as I type this, I miss him.
