Re: Ringneck cure help
if there is a change in behaviour it is best to check with a vet
look for other symptoms...change in breathing...tail bobbing
change in stools...check that his vent feathers are dry and clean not wet and sticky with diarrhoea
fluffing up
any discharge round the nose...wetness around the beak ....sign of vomiting
sleeping a lot...not just napping
and of course if he goes down to the bottom of the cage and just sits then it is surely an illness
if hes ill get him warm..cover with dark cloth and place a lamp next to the side of the cage
this gives him a chance to recover....hes warm so his immune system can busy itself if hes sickening for something

I agree with this. Try to get him to a certified avian vet to be sure is sick or not, and to get medicine if he is indeed sick.

I'm with Kassidy 100%. Changes in behavior are often the earliest (and possibly only) indications that a bird is sick before it's too late. Find an avian vet or--if there isn't one in your area--a vet who is KNOWN to have a decent avian practice.

Re: Ringneck cure help
Absolutely get him to the vets, birds hide their illnesses well and we are not vets here so we can't help the way a vet can. Sorry! But I agree, if there is a noticeable change something's up. Keep us updated.

Re: Ringneck cure help
I would watch his behavior closely and see what happens. If he acts "off" for one afternoon, that's not necessarily cause for concern. But if he stays that way, a vet visit is always a good idea.
There's an article on signs of illness in birds here:

If you notice that he's not eating as much, you might try offering some food he really likes, like warm mash.

How's he doing? I wouldn't wait long if you could bring him to the vet easily, just at least try to get him in or call an avian vet to ask if they would know what's up.
I hope he's okay, keep us posted.
