Im sorry this is not a bird Im posting but with all you animal lovers I thought you would understand.

This morning I woke up and Chilly, Chicklette and Digit were dead.(my chinchillas) Mom and her two daughters. Silly must have had something that passed on to them. I only have one chin now, Tucker and he thank goodness in not in the chin room. Im stunned, Im devastated, Im shocked, I was hyperventilating this morning, I could not catch my breath. I beyond sad, sad does not even compare to how I feel, that's 4 chin. There are no more chins in the chin room.

Chicklette, I love you for the little trouble maker you were, always into something. You were so bad but in a good way.

Digit I love you for how hyper and active you were. With all your happy hops and racing around the cage.

Chilly, I love you for the perfect mom you were and how much you loved your children. You were my first chin.

I will miss all three of you with all my heart. I wish I new what happened, it's all my fault for not knowing, Im sorry.

Im in total shock.

ooh thats a tough thing youve across in life...
i love chinchillas ..we dont have them here in oz but ive wanted one for ages ...they seem such gorgeous little animals
to lose three is unbearable
youll get through it ...like all things life throws you and i just wish we didnt have to fell that sort of pain when our animals pass

I'm so sorry that this had to happen to you Courtney. It's not your fault at all, and there was no way you could have known that this would happen. Big hugs and happy thoughts are on their way.

Oh, hon, I'm so srry for your loss.Losing one pet is hard enough but three at one go is worse and specially when they're a family. Give yourself a big hug from me.

Thanks everyone. It's been rough but I have been snuggling and hanging on to my other animals who seem to give me great strength. They know I am going threw something and have all be so cuddly. But they really do help. Rocky has been laying in bed with me watching movies, so has jack. I have to stay strong for them. This is 4 chinchillas in two weeks. It first started with Silly, no signs of anything or I would have brought him in, in an instant.

Oh my gosh, Courtney, this is so awful. I am so sorry for your loss. It is a lot to go through- you have my sympathy.

Hi Courtney. First, I'm really truly sorry

You've been through a lot lately with your beloved pets.

Second: losing all three at once like that makes me wonder: could it possibly be something environmental? A gas leak, mold, carbon monoxide, etc., in the chin room? It is totally possible that they all had an illness, but the way they all died the same night makes me wonder.......... Especially since you said Tucker is fine - and he was the one chin not in the chin room with the others.

Thanks guys. I having a necro done and the results should be in, within a week. I think it was bacterial and speread threw the chins, one got sick and passed it to the others. For some peace of mind I had to bring one of them in to find out what happened. But no gas leak or nothing like that. We have a carbon monoxide detecter in their. I will just be relieved to know what happened when the results come in.

I just found this post Courtney and I am so sorry for all your losses, losing one is hard but to lose all of them like that just must of been the worst. Truly I am so sorry this happened.

Thanks Deanna, it been really tough. I've been so sad. It was a horrible experience. The necro came it, it was a bacterial infection that spread. I took Tucker, my only chin to the vets, they did blood work and everything and he got a clean bill of health. YEA! So he's okay.

im sorry hun!! i love chins, i had 2 but ended up being HORRIBLY allergic so i had to re-home them. there amazing animals and im sorry that u had to go threw this...... no one deserves to feel the pain your are enduring....
