Re: poop!
Is she young? Is the water cup the highest up thing in the cage? If it is the highest thing in her cage put a perch higher then it and this might work. If she is young no advice because I remember boomer doing this for a long time when he was a baby because he just for some reason loved to sit on both his water and food bowl and would end up pooping in them both. I had to actually put in one of those cheap plastic water bottle and he loved that thing and since the opening was so small he couldnt sit on it no more. It least then even if your bird poops in her water cup the bottle will have nice clean water in it. Leave the cup, she probablly likes to sneek baths in it when your not looking.

Re: poop!
You can also teach her to use a water bottle (the type with the stainless steel tube with steel ball in the end, like for hamsters, etc) Both Kringle & Sully use a water bottle(so did our past birds). Keeps the water clean, but still must be cleaned & refilled daily, as bacteria grows in standing water no matter what.
If you decide to try a water bottle, place it just above the water bowl, get her attention, tap the end so she sees how to do it and watch her so you'll know if she catches on. I took no time for Kringle & Sully to catch on.
Also important to check the tube a couple times a day for blockage(some birds like to stick food up the tube).

Re: poop!
if they are at the bottom, then its just cuz she is standing on a perch or something over the bowl as she poops..is there a way were you could raise the bowls?

Re: poop!
If you can't get a different bowl to put higher in her cage, or a water bottle, you'll just have to clean the bowl out several times per day when she poops in it.

Re: poop!
This is what boomer had in his cage (this is the food one but the water one looks just the same), http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...9&pcatid=21009
I know it just a cheap-o one but he liked them and I could buy them at grocery stores and pet stores, they are everywhere so I am sure you can find one of these for her. He also had a water cup in his cage because he liked to splash and bathe in it so even if you get her a water bottle keep her other water bowl in there too.

Re: poop!
Get one of the cups that has a cover, with a hole for their head, but makes it REALLY hard for them to make a mess of their bowl. Mine came with cheap plastic bowls, but they had covers.
You could also try the silo waterers, which clip to the side of the cage...
If buying a different type of bowl is out, you'll just have to clean it often. My bird makes pellet stew, so his bowl gets changed about 5 times a day.

Re: poop!
I'm being flip here because my birds do this but in their bath water not their drinking water. Maybe you potty trained her so well, she's waiting for you to show her how to flush?

Re: poop!
Those dishes that boomergirl used are very good for that. I have seen them everywhere.
