Re: How to post an image on this board
I'm not versed in other image places, but I'll start looking them up
As for attachments, that you can do, provided you're willing to pay. It's a feature only for the paid members.

How To Post A Picture
Below is an update of this thread which includes information on how to resize an image as well as how to post an image.
Size matters: If you need to resize your image because it would be too large when you post it, one option is to use Paint on your computer and open the picture you want to post. Then go to Image. Select "Stretch and Skew" and reduce the size equally, for example 50% horizontal and 50% vertical. When you have the size you want to display, select "Save". The Photo should not be larger than approximately 6 inches in length and height because if the pictures are too large, it will take too long to upload for those who do not have a high-speed connection and we want everyone to be able to enjoy your photos. You now have a resized picture that is ready to be hosted and posted.
You will need to host your image. There are a quite a few free sites that allow you to host images. Tinypic.com or Photobucket.com are two hosts. http://tinypic.com/ and http://photobucket.com/
I'll use Tinypic.com as an example. Go to http://tinypic.com/ and click on to the browse button located on the right side of the screen. Click on to the photo you want to post that is located on your computer then click Open.
Then click the "Upload Now" icon.
Click on to the blue "Copy" icon that is marked: IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards.
Then paste it into your post on the Tailfeather's board. (Or create a new thread and post it there.) You can preview your post by clicking on to "Preview Changes". If you like what you see, click on "Save Changes". If you don't, you may need to resize the image- see above.
For detailed instructions and screen captures on how to use Photobucket.com, read the first post in this thread, dated 04-11-2007, 03:34 PM.
If you are having problems posting a picture, read through this entire thread and if you can't find the answer you need, contact a moderator for help.

Click on the [img] link they assign your picture, it will copy automatically, then paste in your post.

Yes you can do it from flickr. Click on the "all sizes" button above your picture and the choose the size you would like to post (I suggest medium). Under the picture there will be 2 different links available to you, choose the second one. Choose the picture icon in the reply section on tailfeathers (the one that says "Insert image" when you put your cursor on it) click on it and copy the link from flickr.

If you purchase a Gold Membership to Tailfeathers it allows you to upload pics directly from your computer into your posts.
You may also upload up to 100 pics (non-Gold member) or 500 pics (Gold member) into your gallery/albums in your Profile. Then put a link to pic/album in your posts.
