How do I join a community?

Hello. I recently set up a profile and have been posting questions about my newly adopted cockatiel, Bella. I went to my profile and updated information, but I don't know how to "join" a community. Can someone post and give me some info about it? Thanks. OH....I would also like to know how I can put a picture on my profile and don't know how to do that. Thanks again.

I'm not sure what you mean about joining a community. If you mean "Groups" go here, you join by clicking "Join" in whatever group interests you. Other than that, there are no "communities" to join, you are a member of the Tailfeathers community upon signing up to the forums and may post anywhere.

To add a picture to you profile(avatar) you click "Edit Profile Picture" then click "browse" to find a picture on your computer.
To add photos to posts, or your signature you must host the photos on a website like www.photobucket.com and copy/paste the {IMG} link it will assign your photo.

I tried to join the community nothing works just this site. I am trying to find out what to do with a budgie who hurt her foot and has problems lifting it. Has promblem standing on one foot. He is a baby. Terrible there are no site for bird problems only for cats and dogs. This is a disgrace. My birds are like my children. I like to know how to treat my baby. When I go to the Vet is cost me over $300.00 for xrays, blood work, visit. any advise for me I live in Brooklyn NY.

As far as I know, you are a part of the community. Just find a board and post on it.

Has a list of forums dedicated to budgie's. You might get a better response there. If you're having posting problems, tell me and I'll contact the board admin (if he isn't already aware).

I know what you mean. I had 2 parakeets for a long time and LOVED them dearly. I now have a cockatiel I love dearly. But there are LOTS of places to go for help and suggestions. Here is a Google search for you with lots of forums to choose from. You can also go to the one listed above here. I've gotten LOADS of help from many very wonderful people here at tailfeathers.
