    What age?

    What is the oldest a hen should be before she should not breed anymore?
    NIchole is owned by 12 budgies Summer, Shadow, Autumn, Kalipso,Clover, Boo, Luna, Bam Bam, Pebbels, Bandit, Kinder and Aaron. 3 cockatiels (Moon, Dusty and Pepper) as well as 2 dogs (Sonic and Buddy)

    It depends by way you take care of them in the time..
    If you provide the correct alimentation and if you do to mate the pair only once a year then your birds can reproduce until 9/10 years old .(I have a pair of birds, they are 9 years old and they are able to breed yet).

    Instead if you don't provide the correct alimentation or/and you do to mate often your birds then you are lucky if your hen is able to breed still at 4/5 years old.

    Thus it's impossible to define a mathematical law because this phenomena depends by too much variables.

    So more and more the breeder makes care of his birds and more and more the birds can get old better producing chicks also at 9/10 years old.
