Re: dark factor or violet factor?

with a violet factor you often seen a petroleum like sheen to the feathers, especially when the sun hits them. A dark factor, combined with a violet factor gives a deeper greenish colour with a bigger sheen. A dark factor usually lacks this sheen.

To be honest, i'm not going to even guess. It's very difficult to distinguish between a dark factor and a violet factor, unless they are side by side to compare. They are both mutations created through varying light interference, so naturally the lighting in which you view the birds will dramatically change the appearance of the bird. Degree of natural light, artifical light, camera flashes etc all change the true colour of the bird. Different monitors also effect what we really see.

Munch seems quite dark, so could well have 1 dark and 1 violet factor.
