    budgie lawn.......

Seeing as though budges are ground feeders and all, i have decided to grow them a little lawn in a shallow rectangle pot and put it in their cage some days for them to forage. I just used the seed from the bottom of a millet packet. Can anyone see and dangers in this? They have no chance of eating any of the pot, and i just figured it was the best way of getting them as 'outdoors' as i can.

You could also try growing a few herbs for them in the lawn too such as Rosemary, Basil, Thyme, Mint, Tarragon etc. There's a full list of safe herbs on here somewhere. The budgie lawn sounds an amazing idea, I may even treat Rory to it at one point
