    making daily fresh veggies easier

I was gone for a month and came home to find my hubby had discovered an ingenious way to make giving the lovebirds fresh veggies every day easier.

Once every two weeks we use a food processor to grind up peppers, carrots etc and mix that with some seeds (they eat the veggies better if they are blended) then we use a icecube tray, fill it up with the mix, put it in a bag and put it in the freezer

Every day we crack out a cube, zap it for 15 sec in the microwave on a small plate, mix in a vitamin supplement we picked up at the pet store and give it to them. They love it, and are eating it all up!

Before this we made a few days worth of veggies and kept it in the fridge, but it would go off too soon and the birds did not seem as energetic about eating it. This was they stay fresh, we save time and they get their veggies every day!!
