    Have I been tricked?

Last year I bought what I was told was a yellow sided hen when she molted though shes lost all the yellow on her sides is she yellow sided or was a tricked and shes standard?

I adore her either way Im just shocking when it comes to keeping accurate records. Milli is a nut she tries to attack me when Im doing their food and then gets on the perch above my head and grooms my hair.

Ok guys let me know what you think. Sorry about the pic quality I only had my phone on me when I thought to get the pics.

Huge thanks to Sam for the sig...2 Cats, 2 Dogs, 30 Lovebirds, 7 Cockatiel, 5 Greencheeked Conure, 2 Rainbow Loris, and fish. My birds

She is defiantly a yellow sided. The other GCC is a normal.

Thank-you, I wasnt sure she looks standard when I look at pics of her when she was younger and compared to the baby ys I just finished raising. Yeah I knew he was Hatori has been with me for three or four years now. He adores her if Im in the aviary he watches me like a hawk and if I get to clost to her he starts been scrapping and making little growling noises.

They are very cute with the way they look after eachother.

Definitely a yellow side. They also have more red on their tummies than the regular gccs do.

    Re: Have I been tricked

Ok, cool thanks for letting me know that.

So am I right in thinking that any yellow around the edge of the wing and legs makes them yellow sided? She doesnt have any under her wings.

I probably sould like a twit but its better to ask silly questions when trying to learn than not ask and remain ignorant to the answers.

Lol if the answer to my question is yes then I may have just sold a hand raised pineapple for a bargain to her owner. Not that it really matters the owner is great and her and the bird really bonded from when they first met and she is well loved.

Dont know if thats possible though for her to be a pineapple I mean, since one sibling is a cinny and the other a ys...not sure about how their genetics work just yet. I guess with their dad being pineapple and mum being ys it would be possible I think...Ill have to look that up.

Sorry Im rambling, got to love 3:40am ramblings.

    Re: Have I been tricked?

My Maxx is also a yellow sided and has no yellow under his wings. The Pineapples has a very light head, where as the Yellow Sided has the darker head like the normal GCC. Also the beak and of the Pineapple is also light.

    Here is my Yellow Sided.

The Cins and Pineapples do look a lot alike. Usually the Pineapple will have more red on his chest, cheeks and neck.
