Is my baby cinnamon or fallow?

I am so confused. The mum is a cinnamon and the dad is a WF. I do not know their history. The chick has ruby eyes, cinnamon wings and back, a pale cinnamon chest, pink feet and toe nails a yellow head and orange cheek patch. Is it a fallow or a cinnamon?

Any chance you can post a photo? It usually helps. You can also check out this website www.cockatielfoundation.com. I've found that the photos of birds on this site can be quite helpful in determining what your bird is.

A pix would help. But it could also be a cinnamon lutino. They can vary in shade from a pinkish beige cast to the wing flights tail feathers and back to an almost cinnamon color. The red eyes will either look like a young lutinos. if the eye color looks like a bright pink jelly bean it could be that the cinnamon lutino is a cinnamon lutino pied.

Re: Is my baby cinnamon or fallow?

Thanks for your help. My tiel is a cinnamon. New question... I have a chick that looks like a cinnamon pearl but it has a yellow chest and tummy. Is it still a cinnamon or something else?

It sounds to me from what you describe that the chick is a "cinnamon pearl lutino". When it has its first hard molt which usually happens at about a year old, if it is a female, it will keep the pearling on its wings and body. If it is a male, it will lose the pearling. You are soooooooooo blessed to have these unique and beautiful birds. I simply love cinnamon tiels. One of the first tiels I ever had was a white-face cinnamon by the name of Hope. Hope was a female, and was the most beautiful tiel I've ever had.
