I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your precious little Ladybug! Rest in peace, Ladybug! You are now flying free over the Rainbow Bridge. Sam, you will meet your Ladybug at the Rainbow Bridge one fine day. Sending a big hug to you, because I know how it hurts to lose a little budgie. I just lost my little Maxi about 6 weeks ago and I still feel sad when I think about him. But I also have wonderful memories to remember about him.

So much can happen to our birds. They hid illness so well that when they show it, it's almost too late to get get them help. Then there are heart attacks and strokes that come out of no where. Sorry for your loss.

    Re: Sudden death

It happened to a budgie that a friend and I part owned (she bought one, I bought another but they both lived in a cage at my place and I got quite attached.) She was away (Mum was ill, and had actually died the day before) and my BF and I were looking after the pair. We went out foir pizza, about 7.30 PM, and on leaving she was acting as she always did and as always being very vocal, no change there! We came bacxk half an hour later and found her dead on the cage floor, lying on her front, wings folded, eyes wide open, and as I was leaving very early the next day, no time to arrange to get her to the vet for a necropsy, had to get up before dawn just to bury her.

Ladybug has flown over the Rainbow Bridge and is waiting there for yo. I am sorry for your loss.

I was sane once, but I got better.

    My baby boy, Lawrence.
