Last night I brought home my 8 mo old Jenday Conure. He has three large toys in his cage and several different perches among other things. One thing I found out last night was that bird toys cost A LOT! So what I'd like to know is how do you make home made toys for conures? And possibly some websites that have good toys for fairly cheap. Thanks!

My conure loves finger traps and popcicle sticks. Also, he loves too wears bells as hats. He destroys everything he can so I try to avoid using plastic beads or foam beads in case he swallows them. Try searching for bird safe wood beads, paper beads, etc. I also usually use hemp string but remember they can get tangled up easily so make the toys in ways that your new baby would be least likely to get tangled up or injured.
