new conure need advise

i am taking a nanday conure that needs a good home, i am not sure where to start with him, he seems somewhat freindly, but i need to know how do i let him to adjust to a new home. any helo would be greatly appreciated.

If the old owners will let him come with anything he likes ( a favorite toy etc ) it helps with transition. But just make sure the cage is against a wall so there is a "corner" safe spot (if you can't do that, a sheet over one corner works) and let him get used to the place before you attempt to tame if he's nervous, just talk to him and don't try to handle right away.
