I don't know any place really that would be good for such a hard to care for bird - but be sure to do an interview in person with each potential buyer, go over care and make them tell you what they know. Also, with such a "high ticket" bird I would suggest requesting references from vets / friends as to the persons character, so you don't get someone who will have bad motives. Since you are in Kansas, Beaks N wings may be able to help you out with advice / resources of bird friendly (and large parrot friendly) places and people in the area.

I have been through this before and know of the hurt and that what you want in life, can what life can deal to you might not be the same.
