two female budgies
Hi I am new to keeping budgies, today I got what I was told was 2 males, however after showing everyone pictures of them I am now told they are females. I have heard females can be aggressive and can fall out quite easy. Now I am worried. Is this true or will they be ok? Thanks in advance

Re: two female budgies
Hens ARE more aggressive, they are the ones to defend the nest. They don't make sweet pets like the cocks do. I have had 3 old hens housed together for a few years now. There is bickering and they always have to work out who's going to eat out of the feed cup first. NO one here on this board can tell you if your hens are going to fight like cats and dogs. YOU have to watch the personalities and monitor if it's just natural bickering or a knock down fight. If you see actual fighting then YES you will need to cage them separately. Every now and again when my girls get to bickering overly much I only have to say GIRLS in a stern voice and they quit.

Usually at pet shops the people get the animals sex WRONG they said a male was a FEMALE!
so i think it might be 2 females, and females are a lot more agressive then males
