    Updates on Rani

    Hello There!
It's been forever since I've been on. School has kept me busy, along with having many fish tanks and all the other pets I care for etc.
Rani has gotten extremely close to us now. Well kinda. She still has temper tantrums from time to time, and starts screaming a bit too.
She also only likes males. She will perch on a female for a minute, but then flies onto the couch or whatever is near. It's so funny sometimes cause she looks mad when she's by a female. She seems to hate every female in the family. And if she's on the couch that you're sitting on, she'll play in your hair and try to steal your jewelry(especially gold). But she doesn't get go in my mom's hair or on her jewelry since she knows my mom doesn't like that.
But she loves me! She still isn't fond of scritches, but she is very kind to me She loves me a lot lol
She enjoys showers and for some reason sticks her mouth open and makes a weird face when in the shower. And gets water in her nose on purpose... Is this normal? I get worried
I haven't done much to her cage. Just rearranged things. She still doesn't want pellet food. I have tried many weening techniques. Nothing works. But I supplement often.
Rani loves cooked rice(nothing added to it), and cooked no sodium noodles. Just a tiny piece of course. She still eats seeds.
She has laid eggs which she sat on for a bit, but I took them away.
    Otherwise she is doing great!
    She's very tame with me
I want to get another tame male. But not keep a breeding nest/box... No babies for me haha!
Of course get him from a single bird home and a week or two of QT should do. But I'm worried that they wont be tame anymore. Is it possible to have a tame pair?

Rabi is very cute in his picture! I wonder why she opens her mouth in the shower too and think maybe it is because she gets too much water up her nose and maybe that clears it. Rainy must love her showers to do that but it must not hurt her because she keeps doing it. Birds are silly.

Boomer had a thing about men too but I think he only liked them because he liked to preen there facial hair.

Yes it is possible to have a tame pair but if your new bird is not tame and you put it in a cage with Rani it WILL change Rani's behaviour a lot!
So my suggestion is if you want a tame pair then I think you will have to separate the birds first so that you can tame the male without any effects on the female.

By the way Rani is what you call a very funny bird with a great personality and one more thing birds a silly and funny in their own way
