Okay, so I posted a thread about my tiels having babies. The babies are doing fine, mostly. The one that was born the smallest, went to the vet yesterday, and I was told that she'll never be able to walk, because she has no muscles in her legs at all.

Anyway, I need help, because I have separated my female and male tiel, because they started trying to mate again. I'm not sure if I separated them in time or not, but today, as I was changing the water and food for all of my birds, my male tiel, jumped ontop of one of the baby tiels, and started mating with him/her. My male tiel was put into a cage by himself, and refused to eat because he was lonely, so I moved one of the babies into the cage with him. Its been about three days since I've done that. Then today, he started trying to mate with the baby.

The baby tiel is only 3 weeks old. So I'm concerned on what I need to do. He will not stop trying to mate with anything I put into that cage with him. I've taken the baby back out and put him/her back with the other two babies and their mom. I'm not sure what else to do, my male tiel won't eat if he's in the cage alone, but if I put one of the babies into the cage, he tries to mate the baby. I'm not entirely sure if that's even healthy for the baby.

Any help, or advice would be greatly appreciated.
