Shoutbox suggestion

On another site I frequent, they have a shoutbox at the top of the page, and people are often chatting in it. The one here, though, you can scroll through it and see shouts that are days apart. Being at the bottom of the page may be part of the problem; I personally don't scroll that far down except occasionally when I remember we have a shoutbox. So if it's moved to the top, people would remember that it's there and maybe it would get more use.

Thanks. Would love to hear what others think. I can see both sides - having it at the top might then encourage people to ignore the main bit, the forums. But whatever everyone wants to do, I am ok with!

I don't think anyone would ignore the forums, as it's our main thing - I admit I don't look at the chatbox often cause I never scroll down that far... and probably most others don't either. I kind of mainly check it every so often for people who need help.
