Is there yellow dye in the food? Is it always really liquid, or only sometimes? Does it still have the tubular shape, or is it so wet it is losing the shape? Is there anyway you can get a picture of the droppings, so we can better determine how abnormal they are?

I second Marrie. Odd as it may sound, can you get a picture of the droppings and post it? Some people here may be able to work out if it's illness or not. I know the iodine supplememt in Trill (seed with iodine supplement) is faint grey/green pellets, but iodine in liquid form is orangey yellow, so yeah.

Trill ingrediients:
Canary seed.
Red millet.
White Millet.
Yellow millet.
Oats.
Milk and milk derivatives.
Vegetable protein extracts.
Derivatives of vegetable origin.
Algae, oils and fats.
Vegetables.
Eggs and eggs derivatives.

(YIKES! Before I was directed to pellets, THIS is what I was feeding my birds???????)

How is the bird you separated from the sick one? Can you provide a wheatbag for the sick bird (that you heat in the microwave but wrap a towel around it to prevent burning, to put on the base of the cage so it can go there if it wamts or needs warmth?

Uhh... Trill has MILK in it? What? Birds are not able to digest dairy very well... :s I hate companies that don't even bother to look into the animals nutritional needs. That may be what is giving runny droppings if Trill is the food being fed.

Yes in the 2 page she said (brittany) said she is feeding them with TRILL! O.O brittany i suggest you change to other brand that does NOT use milk of any kind as an ingredient!!

One thing about those stuff printed on the back of commercial birdie food.
Those are printed to help sell the food.

Take a look if you have not done so on what I prepare for my parrots. And also for my kitties and for Jackie now in different formulation but based on Tinkerbell Mash

I made no mention of Vit B complex or Vit A and stuff.
But should you check on what the beans composed of, you will see that they are chockful of Vit B, D , A, E, I, O, U complexes and more.
You want Vit A? What do you think the sweet potatoes provide, and more.

I look at commercial birdie food with loads and loads of skeptism. Especially when you need to use Vitamin supplements as well to go with them.
Would you rather a basic food with all and more of the birdie need? or something that you must add supplements because the orginal food just aint good enough.

And not forget commercial birdie food, for the convenience of not needing the fridge, are also chockful of ickky additives.

Good news!
The pee was probably caused by distress because now the bird has perfect poo!just like the other budgies!

That's great news, Britany! Keep an eye on it, and keep any bird you've had for a month quarantined for 30 days from the others, but good luck!
