how to breed more females?
hi there. i started breeding one year ago. i started out with six budgies, i now have 14. six males three females and five babies that im not sure of yet.of all the babies i got i havent bred a female yet.i was just wondering if there is someway to increase the number of females bred.

Welcome to the world of breeding birds. There are NO guarantees of a productive year or how to increase male or female % rates in chicks. If there were the exhibition world would be on it to produce more top quality hens for breeding.
There are a few that feel the increase of UV light helps with hen "creation." They also remind those that try this route to wipe the bulbs off weekely. Bird dander on the bulbs decreases the UV output.
