Misty whistling Andy Griffith theme

Since several people want to hear 5 month old Misty whistle the Andy Griffith theme, I tried to get a video. Finally succeeded.

Remember, Misty just started learning this a couple weeks ago and still has a way to go, but I think he's doing real good. In this video, Connor is distracting Misty by dancing in front of him. Still, Misty manages to whistle enough of the tune for you to get an idea of how he's doing in learning it. He does better than this, but I'm so bad at taking videos, I just captured what I was able to, LOL.

He can do better, but with dancing boy distracting him, what can you expect? LOL. But, he still has a way to go to get it down pat. I think for a few weeks practice, it's pretty good, though.

What a great video!! My cheeks hurt from laughing at silly Connor and the way Misty is trying to sing but cant stop looking at Connor. My daughter was not in the room when I first started this video and she heard it said "Is that the Andy Griffith song"? she too got a good laugh at your birds.

Oh I'm so glad that you recognized the song. Poor Misty kept trying to do the song right, but he was sooo distracted by Connor!
When Misty whistles the song, Connor dances to it. Cracks me up!!!

Cracked me up too!!! My daughter didnt even have a clue what I was watching and first thing she heard Misty start up she knew it was the Andy Griffith song. It started out so good and then Misty got caught up in Connor doing his dance and it looked like he confused him. Both of your birds are precious and its so cute that Connor was dancing to Misty's song. I love the video and watching your two together really makes me miss having a bird around. I think I need to visit my sister today to get my Mango fix (Her Amazon) before I go crazy. If only you were up here Pat, I would be so thrilled to watch your birds for you. But nope, I live in the middle of nowhere far far away from all the cute birds I know here.

That would be nice, if you lived near here. I went 12 years without a bird in my home after my neck injury. I'm so thrilled to have birds again!! I can understand how you feel.

Although Misty & Connor are just 5 months old now, they're really developing their personalities. Connor started 'conure squawking' with a pitiful whine like he's lost his best friend. He keeps it up until I give him 'baby'. That means swaddling him in a bar towel and cradling him on his back in my arms so he can take an hour nap. Then he's fine for the entire rest of the day. Go figure!!

Connor says 'what'. And yes, Misty was saying 'what you doing' and 'baby bird' at the end.

Connor loves to dance when Misty whistles that tune. I've been trying to get a video of Misty whistling it right, and when I saw my chance, I pulled out my camera. So what does Connor do? Barges in front of Misty and has to dance right in his face. LOL.

Misty does a better job than that, but it was tough doing it with Connor in his face.

I think they'll continue to be friends. They get along very well and were hand-fed together. I still keep an eye out for when they start feeling their hormones, just in case Connor might get a bit rough without intending to.
