    Greetings from texas!!

    Howdy feathered friends,

I am a new (and I mean, NEW) Cockatiel mom to Spike, Lil Eagle (hand raised 'Tiels, several months old) and Sonic, an older loner who'd rather be left alone to do his own thing.

Here's my handsome Spike, whose fave place is on my shoulder, laptop, or fridge top.

Here's Lil Eagle (the younger and clumsier one, as you can tell by the obliterated tail feathers)

And this is handsome Sonic, who has full run of the house and is happy as long as we leave him alone!

In addition to the 'Tiels, we have 2 Parakeets--Baby and Ice. They all get along well and entertain us all the time with their antics. Spike and Lil Eagle are the only ones whose wings are clipped, so while Sonic and the 'Keets dive-bomb like helicopters, the other 2 follow me all over the house. My dogs (2 Shepherds and a Lab) respect them all and look after them. I am very blessed, and very happy to be here. Looking forward to making new friends!

Welcome to the site! Your birds are adorable. I am happy your dogs get along with the birds so well, big dogs are such goofballs when they get around tiny birds.
Fly Free Boomer, we will forever love you.

Hi, I'm a new tiel mom, too, but I don't have any other birds - and I've never had other birds before. Your birds are adorable!

Hi! Mary-Louise, Welcome to the community!! Your tiels are "gorgeous". They sure do look healthy, and happy. Thanks for sharing the pics. Sounds to me like you have a very active "pet family" there! I'll be looking for your posts around the community!!
