What size bird leash?

I have a lovie and a cockateil and was wondering what size bird leash I should get for each? It says small med and lg on the package, I'm sure the large is for larger birds of course. But it doesn't really say for a specific bird...I want to take them outside when the weather warms up. I think they would enjoy it!

The commercial bird harnesses are usually too large for a lovie, but there are places you can get them custom made (http://www.tailfeathersnetwork.com/c...hlight=harness this thread is for one of those) .. it takes a LOT of training to get a bird used to flying on a harness though, so please research it before you try. A lot of birds will freak out completely when they are put into a harness the first time, so you have to introduce it slowly and get them used to it inside before you ever take them out. Small for a commercial harness would usually fit a tiel.
