Is March when sun conures breed the most?
I have a 5 year old female sun and a 4 year old male and hoping they breed for me when warmer weather arrives. A nest box has been provided for them. I only want a couple babies just to myself.

Re: Is March when sun conures breed the most?
I moved this to the Conures section -
I am not a breeder, but I do know breeders use humidity/temperature control/diet to encourage/discourage breeding, regardless of seasons. I would suggest a good book on breeding conures and try to set it up properly for them, it takes more than just a nest box. The hen should be on a good FRESH (with fresh being more important than pellets/seeds) diet, plenty of veggies, calcium rich foods, UV lighting, etc before you ever attempt to breed her. Also, just in case, be sure you know how to hand feed if the parents reject the chicks.
Hopefully people can give you a bit more detail, I only know the generals, not the exacts since I do not breed.
